Products Description
Silicon brick is a kind of refractory material, which is mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2), and its content is usually above 93%. Because of its excellent high temperature resistance and chemical stability, silicon bricks are widely used in metallurgy, glass manufacturing, ceramics and other industries. In high temperature environment, silicon brick can withstand the corrosion of acidic or neutral slag, so it is especially suitable for furnace hearth, furnace bottom, furnace wall and other parts.
In the production process of silicon brick, some additives are usually added to reduce the sintering temperature, and some binders are also added to improve the strength of the brick. The manufacturing process of silicon brick is quite complicated, which needs to go through many steps such as raw material preparation, molding, drying and sintering. In the preparation stage of raw materials, it is necessary to select high-purity siliceous raw materials and carry out crushing, screening and other treatments to ensure the uniform particle size distribution of raw materials. Next, the raw materials are made into bricks with the required shape and size through a molding process, such as pressing or extrusion. The green brick needs to be dried after molding to remove the water in it and prevent the brick from cracking due to evaporation of water during sintering. The drying process needs to strictly control the temperature and time to ensure the drying quality of the brick. Sintering is a key step in the manufacturing process of silicon brick. At high temperature, the particles in siliceous raw materials will combine with each other to form a dense brick structure. Factors such as sintering temperature, sintering time and atmosphere will affect the performance and quality of silicon brick. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly control these parameters in the sintering process to obtain qualified silicon brick products.
